BACKGROUND: Martin Rosser is the owner of GEOdiscoveries and is a self-taught expert in his field of mineralogy and palaeontology.  His learning began in childhood and has never ceased as he attends trade fairs around the world, seeking product for clients in Australia and internationally.  He is a well-known exporter, and has an almost encyclopaedic knowledge of his craft. 

The early years of Martin's career saw him sourcing specific pieces for clients and the natural progression was to build a successful retail and exporting business.  In 1996, Martin purchased a company that had been trading for 31years and relocated both it and his family to the Central Coast area near Sydney.  Combining his own collection with this business has led to a most challenging, successful and adventurous time with Martin making the transition from hobbyist to business owner/"research scientist".

Martin is proud of the quality of working relationships established with his clients.  In addition to sourcing product, he adds value by providing input regarding global trends, availability of product and pricing strategies.  Current key clients include - the Australian Museum, the Victorian Museum. In addition GEOdiscoveries have supplied international museums for their scientific displays.  These include - the British Museum of Natural History, The Smithsonian Institute, Sorborne in Paris.
